Wachau World Heritage Hike

This panoramic hike leads us along the famous world heritage trail in the Wachau region, Lower Austria. Highlights of this varied hike are: breathtaking panoramic views on the Danube, medieval wine growing villages, vineyards, stone terraces, stone oak forests, bizarre rock formations, rare dry grasslands – in short, an overview of the beautiful and protected landscape of the Wachau region (Unesco World Heritage).

• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Minimum age is 18 years
• Booking confirmation will be sent within 48 hours, subject to availability
• Not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking impediments
• Hike is of medium difficulty, you should be in good physical condition, sure-footed and enjoy walking
• Please bring proper hiking gear, especially hiking boots with good traction
• Please bring a snack and water (min. 1.5 litre) for the day, sun- and rain protection
• We will make a break in between and visit a Heurigen at the end of the tour (optional)
• Day trip I walking time: 3 hrs excl. breaks I travel time: approx. 2 hours back and forth
• Bring some money in CASH for restaurant, bus-ride (cc often not accepted, AMEX never accepted)
